Choose between a small-group or private guided excursion to visit two of Thailand’s most iconic markets on a day-trip from Bangkok. Begin with a visit to Maeklong Railway Market - also known locally as “Talad Rom Hup” (“Umbrella Pulldown Market”) – one of the country’s largest fresh seafood markets, which runs right along the tracks of the Maeklong Railway. With your local guide, observe how vendors quickly retract their awnings and stalls every time a train approaches, creating a unique and unforgettable experience.
Next, travel to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market – among Thailand’s most famous boat markets. A short paddle-boat ride brings you into the heart of the market, where colorful boats laden with goods drift along the canals. Stroll through the vibrant pathways, sample local treats such as mango sticky rice, and follow your guide’s recommendations for specialties not to miss.
Return to Bangkok by early afternoon, with memories of two distinct, lively market experiences.
